Faye D. Schilkey

Faye Schilkey is the Associate Director for the New Mexico Genome Sequencing Center at the National Center for Genome Resources (NCGR). Her roles include operations, project management, bioinformatics development and ensuring customer success around the center’s sequencing and analysis services. She is also the NCGR Principal Investigator for the New Mexico IDeA network for biomedical research excellence. Ms. Schilkey received her B.S. degree in computer engineering in 1986 from Oakland University in Rochester, MI. Since joining NCGR in 1996, she has held numerous technical and leadership positions, helping produce various bioinformatics tools, among them GSDB, ISYS, XGI, PathDB, TAIR, GEYSIR, and Alpheus. Before coming to NCGR, she worked for 10 years in the scientific software arena.
