SAS participates in new Illumina Connect software partnership program
JMP® Genomics offers Illumina customers solutions for analysis of SNP and expression data.
SAS, the maker of JMP® Genomics software, is a charter member of a new bioinformatics software partnership program established by Illumina, Inc. to promote data integration and advanced analysis of microarray data. Illumina Connect promotes the easy exchange of data between Illumina and third-party software applications. SAS and other software vendors can create customized plug-ins that enable customers of Illumina's new BeadStudio 3.0 Data Analysis Software to take advantage of additional statistical and advanced algorithms for analyzing genotyping, gene expression, and copy number variation (CNV) analysis.
JMP Genomics includes processes for importing Illumina expression and SNP data while significantly streamlining analysis workflows for very large whole-genome association studies. It also includes applications for building reusable workflows that can include multiple steps in the import, QC, analysis and annotation process and powerful statistical tools to evaluate the performance of a set of cross-validated predictive models.
