READ MORE JMP Seminar: JMP for Design of Experiments JMP® invites you to a complimentary seminar, "JMP for Design of Experiments: Empowering the Practitioner," on February 23 in Tempe, AZ. Dr. Douglas Montgomery, an expert in Design of Experiments, discusses approaches to and benefits of designed experiments. JMP staff who led the development of experimental design platforms for the newly released JMP 6 will demonstrate ways that JMP supports and guides experimental design activities.READ MORE New JMP Tutorials JMP provides a number of different paths to explore data and unfold analyses sequentially as you uncover problems or opportunities for quality improvement. These short tutorials instruct you in sample methods for exploring data and accomplishing different tasks you may find valuable during data analysis. (Flash Player required for viewing.)
READ MORE White Paper: JMP and ODBC While JMP® software offers the ability to import a variety of file types, JMP also implements a method for connecting to databases to extract the data needed for further analysis. The intent of this paper is to provide a general overview of how Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) works, explain how to connect to a database from within JMP, access database tables, create custom queries, save JMP data tables to databases, and use the JMP Scripting Language (JSL) to automate the process.
READ MORE JMP for Visual Six Sigma Interactive Tour JMP's unique ability to display statistics as graphs and plots that users can explore helps all levels of Six Sigma practitioners probe, understand, and make decisions. JMP lets users visualize the patterns in their data and observe in graphs and plots the impact of changes made during their Six Sigma activities. (Flash Player required for viewing.)
READ MORE White Paper: Effective Data Mining Using JMP Partition Platform JMP's partition platform enables users to systematically analyze large data sets to discover unsuspected or unknown relationships. JMP uses visualization to create a successive tree of partitions according to a relationship between the X and Y variables. It finds a set of cuts or groupings of X values that best predict a Y value by exhaustively searching all possible cuts or groupings, recursively forming a tree of decision rules until the desired fit is reached. Through the use of visualization and recursive portioning, JMP makes data mining techniques accessible to a wide range of users.
READ MORE JMP Now Offers Academic Short-Term Licenses JMP is pleased to offer 6-month and 12-month licenses of JMP 6.0 for students and faculty. These licenses may be purchased through e-academy and are available by download. Student or faculty verification is required.
