The JMP Difference
Access and cleanse data.
Import SAS, Excel, and HTML files. Query and retrieve data from ODBC compliant (Open Database Connectivity) databases and file management systems (Microsoft TM Access, Oracle TM). Sort, concatenate, and subset data ahead of time or during analysis.
Run comprehensive statistics.
Select an analysis or graph from a menu, and then let JMP drive you through variable selection. JMP offers over 300 statistics plus hover help and hints to help interpret results.
View results as graphs dynamically linked to data.
JMP displays statistics, graphs results, and shows source data in one window. Click on any point on a graph and JMP highlights everything about that point in the data table. Click on a row in the data table and JMP shows you where that data displays in the graphs. Point and click to subset data, exclude groups from analysis, or mark interesting data so you can watch their behavior.
Identify outliers.
JMP automatically identifies outliers that distort results or reveal important patterns.
Record, repeat, program, automate, and customize tasks.
JMP Scripting Language assures consistent results and reduces the probability of errors from user to user. JMP power users can bundle multiple analytics into a template and distribute a script that can be run by users with less experience with a click of the mouse.
Design experiments to fit your problem.
JMP goes beyond traditional designs to let you build fully customized designs that are based on the resources you want to commit to the experiment. Specify the runs you can afford and then generate a design to those specifications. Include any number or combination of continuous, categorical, blocking, or mixture factors. Specify number of runs equal or greater than the minimum possible and use your prior knowledge of your systems to rule out certain factor combinations. After the data is collected, you can interactively investigate the impact of changing the settings. Save response, factors, and constraints to collaborate or repeat experiments with no need to re-enter data
Monitor and Control Quality and Variability.
Use control charts, capability analysis, and Gage R&R to detect, analyze and solve process related problems, then assure the process performs within limits. Obtain a snapshot of process performance and capability in one window. Write alarm scripts to warn users of out of specification/control situations results.

JMP is an excellent vehicle for statistical discovery for Six Sigma. JMP guides the user to the proper analysis. Unlike other statistical software, JMP is intuitive and allows the user to generate many different results from a single analysis. In addition, JMP incorporates the latest research on the best statistical methods to use.
