Using SAS and JMP

Licensing JMP alongside other SAS software products and solutions gives organizations the flexibility to grow and adapt as Six Sigma projects evolve.

When large amounts of data are used in a Six Sigma project, SAS on the server is invaluable for data cleansing, integration, security, and access. Use SAS to assure you have premium quality data on which to base your analyses so that Green Belts, Black Belts and Master Black Belts can then focus on discovery and innovation.

In a production environment and when there is too much data to examine manually, SAS can be employed for statistically driven exception detection - automatically analyzing data on the server and alerting users to anything different or that's just not right. Data can be used to identify emerging issues and incorporate analysis of their causes into Six Sigma projects if applicable.

For discovery and interactive analysis during a Six Sigma effort, practitioners use JMP on the desktop to explore the data graphically from different angles. Dynamically linked data and graphics can provide instant insights into the relationships found in data, enabling identification of root cause and subsequent analysis of the impact of changes to processes.
